MAY 2012
The academic project consisted to develop a complete plan for the whole project as part of a project management subject in the master study.
the project to develop consisted in defining, designing, planning, constructing and auditing a photovoltaic rooftop power plant in a location in Dresden, Sachsen. using methods learned such Gannt chart, stakeholder diagrams, project orientation, actions catalog, risk management, payment plans, among others.
This project aims to produce a safe, durable and profitable product, which is a turnkey 1MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic system. There are two industrial roofs with an available PV area of 8424 m2. It is located in the Jena region, with coordinates Latitude 51 North, Longitude 13.8 East. The project is composed of 4875 solar modules from Sovello GmbH, model SV-L-240, and two inverters from SMA models Sunny Central 500CP and 630CP. The Stakeholders involved are Just Solar GmbH, representing the seller, and Greenfield Operator GmbH & Co KG representing the buyer. The Project has an estimated duration of 3 months, and should start providing power to the grid on September 1st, 2012. The Project has been designed from the qualitative engineering perspective of simplicity and efficiency
Several analysis were done to design the power plant such as: shading analysis, space efficiency analysis, panel angle optimization and facing-direction.
Roof # 1 had an PV usable area of 4645 m2 making it possible to allocate 2688 solar panels
Roof # 2 had an PV usable area of 3779 m2 making it possible to allocate 2187 solar panels
Total capacity installed we 1.17 MW with an energy production yearly of 1.1 GWh with an specific yield of 945 kWp/kWh.
